Year End Giving 2022
From Generation to Generation
There is a phrase in Hebrew called L'Dor V'Dor. It means “From Generation to Generation.” This is not only a Hebrew phrase but a mandate to the Jewish people. It is a commandment that we remember our past, learn from it and apply those lessons to the present and future.
It's about passing something on to future generations. Of all the things we can pass down to those who come after us, our faith is the most important.
My dad passed on many things to me over the years. He was a hard worker who instilled in me the importance of a good work ethic. He was also a man who loved his family and taught me the value of family.
One thing he did not pass down to me was his faith.
He was one of those eleventh-hour stories, someone who came to his faith late in life. And while he was proud of his Jewish heritage, he didn't have a deep understanding of it.
It was left to me to find my own way spiritually. And I did, eventually finding my way back to the Jewish faith of my ancestors. One of the greatest moments of my life was getting to share my faith with my dad and then baptizing him with my good friend Neal.
Now, as I look to the future, I want to pass on my faith to my children and grandchildren. I want them to know the God that I know – a loving and gracious God who has been with me through all the ups and downs of life.
In the kingdom calling I have with Burning Bush Ministries, every day, I get to live out my passion for sharing the Gospel with those who have not yet heard. I get to be a part of something much bigger than myself, something that will have an impact on generations to come.
It's my prayer that you will also find ways to share your faith with those around you. It doesn't have to be some grand gesture. Sometimes the simplest things can have the biggest impact. A kind word or a listening ear can open the door for someone to see the love of God in you.
As we close out this year and head into a new one, I want to say thank you for your support of the work we are doing in this ministry. It is because of faithful people like you that we are able to do what we do. As the world has finally reopened after the pandemic, we have traveled the globe into many countries bringing sports, medical supplies, and humanitarian aid as we make disciples of all we encounter.
I want to invite you to consider making a year-end gift that will help us continue our work in the coming year. Every gift, no matter the size, makes a difference. With an itinerary in 2023 of going to countries like Cuba, the Philippines, Israel, Greece, Argentina, and the Dominican Republic, we need your prayers and financial support more than ever.
I am dedicating 2023 to the memory of my father. He was a man who loved life and adventure. I know he would be excited to see the work we are doing in his memory to bring hope and healing to a hurting world.
Blessings in the name of Jesus!
